Summer Activities & Services

The summers at Brighton Ski Resort are relaxing and laid back. Even when the pioneers first settled into the Salt Lake Valley, they sought relief from the summer heat by taking their wagons and/or riding their horses to Brighton to enjoy the cooler mountain air. Locals and visitors alike continue to enjoy the cool mountain air and spectacular scenery that can be found at Brighton. Read More

Not just a winter resort excellent for skiing and snowboarding, Brighton Ski Resort is a picturesque place to visit in the summer, as well. Bright blue skies, green forest undergrowth, and bright wildflowers greet the visitor to this high mountain resort during the summer months.

Lying within national forest lands, Brighton Ski Resort is a great place to visit in the summer. In the warmer weather, hiking to numerous mountain lakes or to the tops of ridges to enjoy spectacular views is a favorite activity. If you enjoy a slower pace, plan a picnic at any of a number of streamside tables. Fishing is excellent in the nearby Silver Lake. Take care not to disturb the locals – moose and deer.

At the resort, you will find the Brighton Store, located on Brighton Loop Road, which is open during the summer for home-cooked meals and also sells maps, postcards, ice cream and assorted Brighton souvenirs.
