Overview

The pace is slower, the atmosphere calmer, adding that much more to your winter vacation at Sundance Resort. Experience downhill and Nordic skiing, snowboarding, night skiing, spa-ing, snowshoeing and art classes, music, movies and more all surrounded by breathtaking vistas.

Downhill Skiing

Sundance's map directs you to 41 runs spread over 500 acres. Steep gladed chutes and open bowls entice experts, intermediates and beginners appreciate the groomed slopes and qualified ski school.

Cross Country Skiing/Snowshoeing

The Sundance Nordic Center has a full 15 kilometers of daily groomed trails for skating and classic skiing. Snowshoers have their own 10k of wooded trails.

Dining

Whether you're dining with family amid the floor to ceiling windows showcasing 12,000-foot Mount Timpanogos in the Foundry Grill, or sharing a candlelit moment in the elegant Tree Room, Sundance's two award-winning restaurants will satisfy any craving.

Stop in for a nightcap and live music in The Owl Bar. Robert Redford imported and restored the 1890's bar once frequented by Butch Cassidy's Hole-in-the-Wall gang.

Arts

Take two hours off from skiing to join one of the Artists in Residence for an unforgettable workshop in the Art Shack. Choose from single-session classes in jewelrymaking, pottery, watercolor or oil painting, printmaking, photography and glassblowing. The classes are open to overnight and day guests and are tailored to your ability level.

Environment

It wouldn't be Sundance without a respect for nature and ecology. A full-time naturalist works with personnel in the winter to coordinate the Sundance Ski Ecology program. Guides lead kids and adults on a historical and ecological tour of the mountain.

Movie Screenings

The Sundance Screening Room hosts evening screenings as well as screenings of competition films entered in the Sundance Film Festival in Park City in January. Go to www.sundance.org for details.

The Spa at Sundance

Relax and rejuvenate in one of six earth-inspired, softly-lit treatment rooms that highlight Native American scents and traditions.
