The majestic Timpanagos mountains and nearby Wasatch Mountain State Park provide the setting for year-round, family friendly play at Soldier Hollow near Heber, Utah. There’s cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, a biathlon shooting range and snowtubing in the winter; hiking, running, mountain biking and golfing in the summer. The non-profit foundation which runs Soldier Hollow inspires junior athletes to pursue their dreams of Nordic competition with intensive youth programs.

Sign up for classes, rent gear or grab a snack in the base lodge before suiting up. Then head back inside to warm up by the fire after your day is done. Both Midway and Heber have a variety of lodging and dining options if you choose to stay in the area.
