History

Utah is one of the States of the Union which currently enjoys a four-season climate, a technologically advanced business environment, a variety of quality educational opportunities, and outstanding cultural and recreational opportunities. This is the result of the area's interesting and varied history.

The State of Utah has an intriguing history. In more recent years scientists have started to discover and uncover the fossilized remnants of many types of dinosaurs – some of which date back to the Messozoic Era (230 to 65 million years ago).

The State has also been the home to ancient Puebloan cultures dating back to 1 A.D. to 1300. After that, the area was home to the Utes and Navajo tribes and finally the state was discovered by explorers, mountain men and pioneer settlers.

The area became the 45th State of the Union of the United States on January 4, 1896. From then to this date, the State has become a composite of people of various ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds. The State is noted for it's variety of beauty and its economic opportunities.
