One of the hidden secrets for anglers in northern Utah is Echo Reservoir. Located on the Wyoming border, this relatively small reservoir has everything needed by the beginner angler or the experienced angler to make a day or a week of fishing a fun and exciting event. There is plenty of room for camping, a small store and all kinds of room for fishing.
In the northern portion of Utah, near the Wyoming border, you will find Echo Reservoir. This is a great place for fishing, camping, boating and/or waterskiing during the early part of the summer.
Species of fish generally found at Echo Reservoir include brown trout, carp, channel catfish, largemouth bass, rainbow trout, smallmouth bass and yellow perch. For those casting their lines from the shore, perch are plentiful. The other species are more likely caught from deeper waters.
Echo Reservoir is readily visible from the Interstate as it parallels the Interstate for a distance of nearly three miles. Easy to find and easily accessible, Echo Reservoir is a great place to enjoy some early season fishing and camping.
