Park City Winterfest

Every February, Park City's week-long Winterfest welcomes all snow lovers to take part in and enjoy a number of fantastic events. Great for all ages, spectators and participants can watch dog sled racing, join snowshoe and cross-country ski tours, listen to live local music, and gaze above at exciting fireworks.

February 2012 marks the 10th Anniversary of the 2002 Olympic Games and Park City is ready to celebrate. In addition to the competitions, a number of Olympic-related activities, exhibits, athlete appearances, autograph sessions, receptions and community gatherings will happen throughout the month. 

  • The week is full of events throughout Park City
  • Snowshoe moonlight walks, stage stop races and more
  • Most events are free and fun for everyone

Overview: The Winterfest week starts off with the International Pedigree Stage Stop Race Finals. These sled dog teams start in Jackson, WY and after running over 200 miles along snow covered trails to Utah you better believe they are happy to see the crowds welcoming them into Park City. Throughout the rest of the week you can enjoy a handful of local and regional bands that take the stage to celebrate the Winterfest.

Details: Grab your snowshoes or cross country skis and join one of Park City's moonlight guided tours. The final night of the Winterfest celebrates the 2002 Olympic Opening Ceremonies anniversary, concluded with a marvelous firework display. See Park City at its best during the Winterfest.
