"Vital and brilliant," according to The New Yorker, this quartet has been pioneering contemporary string music and performance since 1998. Ralph Farris (viola), Dorothy Lawson (cello), Kip Jones (violin) and Tema Watstein (violin) create an enormous sound that resonates with audiences around the world. ETHEL has premiered more than 50 new works, collaborated with the likes of Jill Sobule and David Byrne and rolled out the red carpet for shindigs such as the gala reopening of Alice Tully Hall. The New York City-based group's "Tell Me Something Good" tour is a celebration of the culture and sounds of the 1970s featuring rock icon Todd Rundgren.Professor Rundgren formed the band Utopia in the '70's and is known for creating such hits as, "Hello, It's Me" "I Saw the Light," and "Can We Still Be Friends." He has most recently toured with Ringo's All Starr Band.
