Wolf Creek Highway, also known as Utah Highway 35, offers its drivers a number of beautiful attractions. As it climbs over 9,000 feet, you can make your way through aspen groves and thick forests to view points of high distant peaks. There are a handful of places you can stop along the way to take in the scenery, set up a picnic or even camp overnight. It's hard to say when the best time of year is for touring the Wolf Creek Highway as wildflowers fill the hillsides in late spring and autumn colors offer a more than desirable rainbow in the fall. No matter what time of year, keep your eyes peeled for all kinds of wildlife.
The highway is accessible from Heber Valley, just south of Park City, Utah. Follow US 40 to Highway 32 to Highway 35. The road is closed in the winter and spans 21 miles from Woodland to Stockmore.
