Park City, Utah enjoys a strong economy presently based on tourism. However, this great mountain town has a strong sense of community. There is more here than fantastic skiing and fabulous outdoor recreation opportunities. The locals welcome the variety of visitors each year and invite them to enjoy all the amenities of their community.

Located in Summit County, Utah, Park City is one of the two major resort towns located in the state. Nestled between the two, Park City is considered part of the Wasatch Mountains and part of the metropolitan area of Salt Lake City. First established as a mining settlement, the population declined when the mining industry declined. However, the area started to boom again as a result of tourism.

Home to three major ski resorts, Park City is known for its great snow and spectacular scenery. Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley Resort were the major locations for the ski and snowboarding events of the 2002 Winter Olympics. Home to great outdoor recreation, the city also has many high-end luxurious national retailers, bars, clubs, lodging options and restaurants.

The higher elevations of Park City make it a place for many of the residents of the Salt Lake Valley to retreat to - to avoid the heat of the summer. Most of the area is above 7,000 feet.
